Omron announces DR-LED technology Omron started to ship new LEDs, made using the proprietary DR-LED (Double Reflection Light Emitting Diode). According to the company, DR-LED provides to double brightness comparing to the traditional LEDs.![]() The idea of DR-LED is in using semispherical focusing mirror (resembling a satellite antenna). I.e. the mirror reflects the light, doubling the LED brightness).

Nanya, Mosel Vitelic: more DDR400! According to Chinese United Daily News, Taiwanese Nanya Technology and Mosel Vitelic plan to increase the Springdale DDR400 chipset production volumes up to 50% by March, i.e. by the moment Intel announces new chipsets.Nanya will produce DDR400 chips on the new 0.14-micron 300-mm fab, being jointly constructed with Infineon Technologies. Mosel Vitelic, the first Taiwanese DRAM maker to launch the 0.14-micron DDR400 chip production (licensed from Infineon), plans to launch two new 0.12-micron production lines. Source: The DigiTimes
