ASML Twinscan AT:1200B: new 193-nm litho tool for 300-mm wafers and 90-nm chips
Today Dutch ASML Holding NV posted the press release, announcing details about new 193-nm TWINSCAN AT:1200B Step & Scan System for 90-nm chip volume production.
Twinscan AT:1200B provides resolutions up to 80-nm and is designed for 300-mm wafers. Like all other Twinscan tools, AT:1200B can process two wafers simultaneously.
Pity, there’s no information about the performance in the press release. AT:1200B shipments are scheduled to mid-2003.
Intel Celeron reaches 2.20GHz
Today Intel announced two more models of low-end desktop Celerons with 2.20 and 2.10 GHz clocks. There are not any other differences from other Socket 478 Intel Celeron: the same 0.13-micron process and 400MHz FSB.
In over 1,000-unit quantities new 2.20 GHz and 2.10 GHz Intel Celerons will cost $103 and $89, respectively.
LaCie announces new 250GB FireWire hard disks
LaCie, mostly known to Macintosh users, announced the new line of external FireWire HDDs 60 to 250GB in capacity.
All new models have vertical aluminium cases, claimed to provide better heat emission. Besides, hard disks feature special protection for using Kensington-compatible locks.
New LaCie HDDs will include 60, 80, 120, 200, and 250 GB models. The suggested prices will range from $199 for 60GB model to $549 for 250GB one.

iRiver announces new SlimX 400 MP3-CD player
iRiver started to ship its new protable MP3-CD player SlimX 400.
iRiver SlimX 400 is supplied with earphones, carry bag, 4-line LCD remote control, power adapter, rechargeable batteries, charger. SlimX 400 features the auto-EQ for automatic equalizer settings. The player supports MP3, WMA, ASF, has an FM-tuner. Besides, all standard features like playlist browse, ID3 tags, audio CD text are supported.
The suggested price of SlimX 400 is about $200.
