Japanese announce Mira alternatives As Microsoft Windows tablets won´t appear in the market until November, and the marketing position of Mira wireless products is not clear, Japanese makers launched own initiative and announced several proprietary solutions for the consumer electronics market. Hitachi, Toshiba, and Sony announced several wireless tablets at the currently held CEATEC, though some of them have already been shown at earlier events.![]() Hitachi presented its 10.4-inch Flora-ie 55mi, based on 400 MHz Transmeta Crusoe-5400, 128MB RAM, and Mobile Linux. Flora supports Internet over modem, WLAN, or cellular.
