Introducing photos of new Intel D845GERG2 on 845GE integrated DDR333 chipset, to be officially announced, according to provisional data, in less than 10 days.

The board features ATX design, has AGP slot, 3 PCI slots, 2 DIMM DDR SDRAM sockets (up to PC2700). The board seems to be a simple and functional solution. The lack of Serial ATA, RAID, etc. points to its moderate price.




GeForce4 PowerPack! Pro/600-8X XP Golden Sample and other products from Gainward

Today Gainward announced the AGP 8 family on NVIDIA GeForce4 440 MX-8:
  • Pro/600-8X XP "Golden Sample" — 64MB 3.3 ns DDR, VIVO, DVI, nView, video editing and DVD software
  • Pro/600-8X XP Retail — 64MB 3.3 ns DDR, VIVO, DVI, nView
  • Pro/600-8X XP OEM — 64MB 4.0 ns DDR, VIVO, DVI, nView
  • Pro/600-8X TV "Golden Sample" — 64MB 3.3 ns DDR, Video out, DVD software
  • Pro/600-8X TV OEM — 64MB 4.0 ns DDR, Video out


Clock rates were not provided in the press release, but Gainward claimed its Pro/600-8X XP (on the photo) to be 20% faster than competing samples.

AOpen announces Aeolus MX440S 8X on Geforce 4 MX440-8X

AOpen announced its NVIDIA Geforce 4 MX440-8X graphics card — Aeolus MX440S 8X AGP.



Aeolus MX440S 8X has 64MB 3.3 ns DDR BGA memory, Geforce 4 MX440 8X is clocked at 275 MHz. Aeolus MX440S 8X features analog, digital DVI, and is supplied with a DVI-CRT adapter for DUAL CRT support. The package also includes WinDVD software player.

FlexScan T966 — new 21-inch CRT from EIZO Nanao

Early in October EIZO Nanao is to sell new 21-inch FlexScan T966 monitor. It will have two body variants: light (FlexScan T966) and black (FlexScan T966-BK).


The monitor features 21-inch FD Trinitron CRT with the special Super ErgoCoat, 230 candles/sq.m max. brightness, 0.24 mm pixel size, 30-130 kHz line scan, 50-160 Hz vertical scan, 2048x1536 (80 Hz) max. resolution.

The monitor also has D-Sub15, RGB inputs (BNC), and a USB hub. Other advantages include the supplied DesktopViewer utility, enabling to auto-adjust brightness and contrast, and PIM II and Exif 2.2 support for digital photo processing.

FlexScan T966 dimensions are 494x486x520 mm, weight — 36 kg. The approximate price of a standard model is about $1000. Black-body model costs about $1080.

NVIDIA nForce2 volume shipments will start early in October

Along with yesterday´s NVIDIA´s announcement of nForce2 for AMD Athlon XP, news from Taiwan arrived, confirming that boards on this chipset are to be ready soon. According to these sources, NVIDIA have all technological and development questions solved and plans to start nForce2 volume shipments early in October.

According to first echelon mobo makers, Asustek Computer and Micro-Star International (MSI), first nForce2 quantities are expected on October 1.

As you know, NVIDIA positions nForce2, supporting DDR400, AGP 8x, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, as a competitive integrated solution. These boards are to arrive soon, so, we´ll get to know about their performance in the near future.

Introducing Gigabyte GA-8PE667 Ultra on i845PE chipset

We´ve recently posted that Gigabyte announced its new P4 Titan 667 mobo family, based on various Intel and SiS chipsets, supporting new Pentium 4 with 533MHz FSB (and 667MHz for the future).

Prolink announces PixelView GeForce4 MX440-8X

Introducing the first announcements of graphics cards on NVIDIA AGP 8x GPU — GeForce4 MX440-8X. Prolink Microsystems announced its PixelView GeForce4 MX440-8X cards with 64MB or 128MB DDR.


MVGA-NVG18AM core/memory clock rate is 250MHz / 420MHz, other versions feature 280MHz/520MHz, respectively.

Prolink Microsystems will release these PixelView GeForce4 MX440-8X variants:

  • MVGA-NVG18AM — 64MB, TV-out
  • MVGA-NVG18A — 64MB, TV-out, DVI
  • MVGA-NVG18A — 64MB, VIVO, DVI
  • MVGA-NVG18A — 128MB, TV-out, DVI
  • MVGA-NVG18A — 128MB, VIVO, DVI
