P4 Titan 667 mobo line from Gigabyte
Gigabyte announced the new P4 Titan 667 motherboard line, again confirming its intention to remain one of the leading mobo developers. The P4 Titan 667 series was designed to meet and qualify for next generation CPU specification, from current 533 MHz FSB reaching up to 667 MHz FSB.
P4 Titan 667 line includes:
- 8PE667 Ultra
- 8PE667 Pro
- 8PE667
- 8GE667 Pro
- 8GE667
- 8SG667
- 8ST667
There are no details about chipsets and other board features (except for Gigabyte 8SG667 — it´s based on SiS648). Releasing these products, supporting 667 MHz FSB, the company again proves the professionalism of its R&D team and the technology advancement.
I guess more details will follow early in October, after Intel officially announces new chipsets.
Xelo announces 256MB Radeon 9700 PRO card
One of ATI partners, German Xelo posted specifications of a Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card with 256MB of 256-bit DDR.
Other features are similar to those of other cards: 325/310 MHz core/memory clock rate.

4 new MegaTheaters from Cambridge SoundWorks
Cambridge SoundWorks announced a line of fully-featured home MegaTheaters, each combining a DVD player, amplifier and acoustics.
MegaTheater line includes four models: MegaTheater 505, 510, 520, 530, each with Cambridge SoundWorks MegaTheater AVS500 DVD player with an integrated AM/FM tuner and DVD/CD/CDROM-MP3 support. Each system also features BassCube 851 subwoofer with a built-in 150 W hybrid amplifier and 8-inch speaker. MegaTheaters differs by their satellites. AVS500 DVD player supports Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic Surround.
MegaTheater 505 for $699.99 features 5 Newton Series MC50 satellites with 3.5-inch speakers.
MegaTheater 510 for $849.99 has 4 dual-band Newton Series MC100 satellites, including a single 3.5-inch mid-range speaker and 3/4-inch tweeter; central channel is the Newton Series MC150 "MTM" (Midrange-Tweeter-Midrange) satellite.
MegaTheater 520 for $1099.99 has Newton Series MC300 central satellite (two 4-inch speakers and 1-inch tweeter) and 4 Newton Series MC200 satellites (4-inch mid-range and 1-inch high-range speakers).
MegaTheater 530 for $1299.99 has 5 Newton Theater MC300 satellites.
MegaTheaters are already being shipped.
