Though we reported about these chips before, this presentation was interesting with the large number of cards from unmentioned companies. Here´s a little photo-report of the official event. Radeon 9000 products were shown by many companies, but Radeon 9700 cards were presented by C.P.Technology and Gigabyte only.
KT400-based AT7-MAX2 from ABIT in September? According to information from Inpact-Hardware, new AT7-MAX2 motherboard from ABIT will appear in French retail already in September.AT7-MAX2 bases on VIA KT400 + VT8235 chipset bundle, supports AMD Socket A processors with 200/266 MHz FSB, has AGP 8x slot, 4 DIMM DDR PC1600/PC2100/PC2700 slots (no PC3200 support!) for up to 3GB Unbuffered DDR or up to 3.5GB Registered DDR. Besides, the board has 5 PCI slots, 2- port Serial ATA (Marvell88i8030 chip), ATA133 RAID (HighPoint HPT374 RAID 0/1/0+1), 6 USB 2.0 ports, 3 FireWire ports, 5.1-channel AC´97 (SPDIF) audio, LAN 10/100 Mbps controller. Pricing is still unknown...
VIA: $53 million sales volume in July VIA Technologies announced that its July sales volume made NT$1.81 billion (about $53.77 million).Consistently, July sales were 18.48% higher than in June that made NT$1.53 billion (about $45.4 million). From January to July 2002 the company had $428 million total sales volume.
