Dell Announces an 18-inch AiO PC and Tablet Hybrid
Today Dell announced the XPS 18 hybrid AiO PC and tablet hybrid, which runs at Windows 8 and boasts a 18.4-inch detouchable touch screen.
The Dell XPS 18 is an entirely Windows based hybrid AiO. The portable XPS 18 AiO is built on Intel’s third-generation core processors. There are not many ports on this all-in-one PC: two USB 3.0, a 3.5mm headset jack and an SD card slot. Also you can find Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Wireless connectivity for the bundled (and reasonably nice) wireless keyboard and Logitech mouse is built right in. There is a 720p webcam on the top with a dual microphone.
The specifications of the Dell XPS 18 are:
- Screen: 18.4-inch capacitive touch full HD (1920 x 1080)
- Processor: from Intel Pentium dual-core entry level to Core i7
- RAM: starting from 4GB
- Storage: starting from 320GB HDD, with hybrid and SSD only options available
- Ports: two USB 3.0 ports, SD card slot, 3.5mm headphone output
- OS: Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro
- Battery life: 5 hours
- Weight: 2 kg
- Accessories: Wireless mouse, keyboard and stand included
The XPS 18 will also include the Dell Wyse PocketCloud app to build and manage user’s own "cloud" for both personal and work documents that can be shared to other iOS and Android devices.
The AiO will come with an Intel Pentium processor, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive for $899 and climb to £1,099 for the top end model on April, 16.
