Transcend Releases Slim and Shock-resistant USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive

Transcend Information today released a new addition to its StoreJet line of portable hard drives, StoreJet 25A. This new drive boasts a slender, shock-resistant design, and is available in both SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 versions, capacities reaching up to a terabyte.

The StoreJet 25A3 portable hard drive is equipped with a next-generation SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and delivers real-world transfer speeds of up to 90MB/s. The novelty is also Transcend's slimmest drive to incorporate the shock-absorbing suspension damper system.

StoreJet 25A can also function as a data backup station, with a convenient One Touch Auto-Backup button and the bundled Transcend Elite software that also offers 256-bit AES file and folder encryption and mobile internet bookmarks. Additionally, StoreJet 25A includes Transcend's RecoveRx software for bringing back accidentally deleted or lost files.

Sized 130.6 x 80.1 x 15.0 mm, the novelty weighs 182g. It comes in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities, supports sleep mode (10 min.) and has a power/data transfer activity LED.

All models are backed by Transcend's three-year limited warranty.
