AMD Officially Announces ATI Radeon HD 4830
AMD officially released and started shipping its new ATI Radeon HD 4830 solution that belongs to the "below $150" range. Like other products of the ATI Radeon HD 4800 series, the novelty supports high-definition video and DirectX 10.1.
AMD believes that the price/performance ratio of the new product will especially interest gamers. The support of ATI CrossFireX at a mainstream price enables creation of multi-GPU configurations with up to 4 GPUs for a wide range of users.
The GPU also features Unified Video Decoder 2.0 and ATI Avivo HD. Supporting "picture-in-picture" and 7.1-channel sound, ATI Radeon HD 4830 can also be a home theatre foundation.
Solutions based on HD 4830 will be made by company partners, including ASUS, Club 3D, Diamond Multimedia, Force3D, GECUBE, GIGABYTE, HIS (Hightech Information Systems), Jetway, MSI, Palit Multimedia, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE Technology è VisionTek.
