VIA Launches Most Powerful EPIA Mainboard Ever; First to Feature VIA C7 Processor
VIA Technologies announced the VIA EPIA EN-Series Mini-ITX mainboards, the first of VIA's ultra compact platforms to feature the VIA C7 processor, making it the most powerful EPIA platform to date.
The VIA EPIA EN mainboard integrates the VIA CN700 digital media IGP chipset that offers DDR2 memory support, integrated VIA UniChrome Pro 2D/3D graphics with full hardware HDTV encoding up to 1080i, 720p output, hardware MPEG-2 acceleration, VIA Vinyl Multi-channel Audio, support for up to 1GB of DDR2-400/533MHz memory, full-featured SATA II RAID, an LVDS module connector, S-Video and RCA output, IEEE 1394, USB 2.0 connections, and Gigabit LAN.
Additionally, the power efficiency of the processor and the platform enables ultra compact designs with a maximum power consumption of just 21W.
The VIA EPIA EN Mini-ITX mainboard is fully compatible with all Mini-ITX, FlexATX and MicroATX chassis and associated accessories.
