CeBIT 2006: A-DATA Showcases Overclocker Memory, FB-DIMM And Flash Memory For Football Fans
A-DATA showcased a number of rather interesting products at CeBIT 2006.
For enthusiasts and overclockers they offered Vitesta 900+ and 1000+ DDR2 series named after the guaranteed clock rates. Vitesta kits consist of two 512MB/1GB modules each tested for dual-channel operation.
Vitesta 900+ timings are 5-5-5-12, Vitesta 1000+ timings are 5-5-5-15. The operating voltage is 1.8V and 2.2V, respectively.
Besides, A-DATA introduced mass-produced FB-DIMM (Fully-Buffered DIMM) modules that can form RAM arrays of up to 32GB, have improved throughput and fast point to point connection between memory controller and chips. Also, these modules are thinner (6.7mm vs. the usual 9.8mm).
The company showcased DDR2-533 (PC2-4200) and DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) modules of 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacities based on chips from Samsung, Elpida and Hynix as well as AMB chips (Advanced Memory Buffer - the key of FB-DIMM) from Intel, IDT (Integrated Device Technology) and NEC.
Also, the company demonstrated readiness for the World Cup 2006: with usual features (128/256/512/1024/2048 MB, USB 2.0) A-DATA Football Disk has original design aimed at football fans. These solutions are sized 59.2x21.66x14.34mm and weigh 16g.
