Fujitsu Delivers LifeBook P7120 Notebook
Fujitsu Computer Systems announced its new light ultra-portable LifeBook P7120 notebook designed for professionals on the go. Weighing just over three pounds (without optical drive), the LifeBook P7120 notebook is said to be the smallest and lightest full-featured notebook with a media bay for an optical drive or extra battery. Battery life is also extended with the Fujitsu ECO button, a proprietary power-saving mode that with a single press allows users to reduce power consumption for components, including disabling the optical disk drive or reducing the display brightness.
Powered by an Intel Pentium M Processor Ultra Low Voltage 753 (1.20 GHz) and Intel 915GMS chipset, the LifeBook P7120 notebook also features a 10.6" Crystal View XGA TFT, the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), an integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 2915a/b/g Network Connection or Atheros Super AG Wireless LAN, modem, 10/100 Ethernet and Bluetooth wireless option. The LifeBook P7120 notebook offers 3 x USB2.0 ports, an IEEE1394 port, S-Video port and HD audio in and out jacks. Also provided are Secure Digital (SD), Memory Stick PRO and xD card slots and a port replicator.
Hard disk drive shock absorbers reduce vibration to ensure higher data availability and prevent losses. And with an eye toward the future, the LifeBook P7120 notebook is VoIP-ready, with built-in dual array microphones and noise-canceling software.
Finally, the LifeBook P7120 is RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances) compliant which translates to a health-friendly environment.
The LifeBook P7120 notebook, with pricing starting at $1,6993 for a base configuration, is available through the Fujitsu direct sales force, website, channel partners and select retail outlets. Users can choose from a recommended configuration, or they can customize their system using the Fujitsu Configure To Order (CTO) program.
