ASUS To Produce EN7800GT On Two GeForce 7800 GT GPUs
ASUS confirmed that it will produce graphics cards on two GeForce 7800 GT GPUs. The EN7800GT Dual is to see the light this October in limited quantities.
As you know, the company has already been making such solutions (like that monster on two NVIDIA 6800 GPUs). But these haven't found their way to market due to high price (and especially on the threshold of GeForce 7800 GTX release).
Though EN7800GT Dual might seem overpriced as well, the company is still ready to make about 2,000 units, each with a unique ID.
EN7800GT will be packed into a special "Limited Edition" box with a recommended PSU. Though usual 300-350 W units will also do, a 500W or similar PSU is recommended.
As you can see, the card has a cooling system with a massive heatsink and a large fan.
ASUS EN7800GT Dual specs:
- 2 x GeForce 7800 GT
- 2 x 256MB GDDR3 Samsung
- 489MHz core (*used in 3D Mark 05 tests)
- 1,358MHz, 1.6ns memory (*used in 3D Mark 05 tests)
- 20 pixel, 7 vertex pipelines
- Built-in Philips TV decoder
- 2 x DVI-I
- Priced at about €1,000

Again, ASUS EN7800GT Dual will be available in mid-October, samples coming a bit earlier.
