Fujitsu Unveils LifeBook C1320D Thin and Light Widescreen Notebooks
Fujitsu Computer Systems today announced the LifeBook C1320D thin and light notebook with a widescreen display, extended battery life, and Intel Pentium M Processor offered at the price of $1,149 and more. According to the vendor, the LifeBook C1320D notebook should appeal to value-minded small and medium businesses, as well as students and teachers who want a slim, full-featured, high-performance notebook on a modest budget.
Equipped with a large 15.4" widescreen XGA display, the LifeBook C1320D notebook features a built-in modular bay for a variety of optical drives or a second battery. The combination of the second battery and the high-capacity main battery is claimed to provide up to 9.5 hours of computing time. The novelty weighs less than 6.4 pounds.
Speaking of performance, the notebook bases on Intel Pentium M Processor with 533MHz FSB, Intel 915GM chipset and Serial-ATA hard drives. Connectivity features include modem and Gigabit Ethernet, optional `Atheros Super AG wireless LAN (802.11 a/b/g), and optional Bluetooth. The LifeBook C1320D also has a Secure Digital card slot, a Dual-Layer Multi-Format DVD Writer and a port replicator.
The LifeBook C1320D notebook is available through the Fujitsu direct sales force, Web site and channel partners with pricing starting at $1,149 for a base configuration. Users can choose from a recommended configuration or they can customize their system using the Fujitsu Configure To Order (CTO) program. The Fujitsu LifeBook C1320D notebook is backed by a three-year or one-year International Limited Warranty for U.S. and Canadian customers.
