First DVB-H H.264 mobile PVR device on show at IBC
Pace Micro Technology introduced the first DVB-H H.264 mobile PVR – the PDH400, which integrates the new DVB-H standard into PVR2GO player with a 4.3" colour widescreen display enabling live digital content to be watched on the move. As well as enabling live TV content on the move, PDH400 also works as a personal video recorder and comes with a maximum hard drive capacity of 40G. Streaming H.264 from a solid state memory SD card is also supported.
To develop the PDH400 product concept, Pace has been working with Sony SES (Semiconductor & Electronic Solutions Europe) and Broadcom. Pace is also working with NDS to integrate NDS mVideoGuardTM DVB-H CA and an ESG (electronic service guide) into the PDH400.
The PDH400 is being demonstrated on the Pace stand (Hall 1, Stand 221) and also on the NDS stand (Hall 1 Stand 171) where it will be receiving a live DVB-H stream.
