Second-tier motherboard makers: June sales results
Despite harsh business conditions in the end of the second quarter, first-tier mobo makers reported more or less stable sales performance. This can´t said about all the second-tier manufacturers.
DFI, Epox, and Acorp reported the successful June sales results. DFI profit (about NT$250 million) is mainly tied to the ACP (applied computing platform) products shipments.
Despite the excellent results of June (31.9% growth comparing to May), Acorp expects losses due to currency exchange rates losses and inventory price declines. Nevertheless, the company is optimistic, having enough OEM-orders from North American and Asian customers and expecting good sales of its barebone systems.
