HighPoint´s RocketRaid 1520 with Serial ATA support
Continuing its RocketRaid line, HighPoint Technologies announced RocketRaid 1520controller supporting Serial ATA.
Based on Marvell 88i8030, it provides up to 150 MB/sec data transfer rate and supports RAID 0 and 1. The controller is said to work under any of the following: Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP, Linux (SuSe, Red Hat, Caldera and Turbo, and FreeBsd).
It supports two Serial ATA ports and is supplied with RocketHead 100 adapters, enabling 40-pin IDE device compatibility.
RocketRaid 1520 will cost about 19800 yen or $170.
