I must note that despite announced support, some versions of A7V266-EX and A7V333 do not actually operate with thermal diode (not having necessary chips unsoldered).
Second, thermal diode support doesn´t mean correct hardware CPU protection from overheating. Actual protection (along with quality thermal monitoring) is currently provided only by D1289 board from Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
