Some details about Intel Springdale and Canterwood chipset series
Taiwanese press, referring to industrial sources, informs that according to the latest production trends, volume shipments of Intel’s new-generation 800MHz FSB chipsets i865 (Springdale) and i875 (Canterwood) – are to start before the official announcement, in March.
As we’ve mentioned before, Intel plans to release solutions supporting 533MHz and 800MHz FSB. It’s interesting that both i865 and i875 series are expected to feature special RAID-enabled products, costing $3 more than non-RAID versions.
