LaCie Ethernet Disk: up to 500Gb network storage
In mid-May LaCie is expected to ship LaCie Ethernet Disk drives with up to 500Gb capacity.
Encased into aluminium bodies, LaCie Ethernet Disks are designded for 19" racks. Each drive weighs about 20kg. Working under Windows XP Embedded, these are compatible with Windows, Mac OS or Linux networks. In case such capacities are not enough, one can plug in additional LaCie USB or FireWire solutions.
Approximate prices of LaCie Ethernet Disk (in France):
- LaCie Ethernet Disk, 80Gb (7200rpm, 2Mb cache) Ethernet 10/100 — 599 euro
- LaCie Ethernet Disk, 160Gb (7200rpm, 2Mb cache) Ethernet 10/100 — 799 euro
- LaCie Ethernet Disk, 250Gb (7200rpm, 2Mb cache) Ethernet 10/100 — 999 euro
- LaCie Ethernet Disk, 500Gb (7200rpm, 2Mb cache) Ethernet 10/100 — 1499 euro
