MSI offers memory overclocking technology
To its D.O.T. (Dynamic OverClocking Technology) Micro-Star International added another performance increasing technology: MAT, Memory Acceleration Technology, optimizing data data throughput between CPU-Northbridge-memory. It results in higher memory performance, with the thoughput increased by 10%.
According to MSI, this technology is supported by several mobos, including 865PE Neo2 and 865G Neo2. Some settings, required by MAT, are realized in mobo BIOS. (in updates for 865PE,
865G). To enable MAT, MSI recommends to do the following:
- Enter BIOS Setup
- Select Frequency/Voltage Control
- Select Performance Mode
- Select Turbo or Ultra-Turbo
The company stresses that not all memory modules are compatible with MAT.
