PIXUS 455i and PIXUS 475PD two new inkjet printers from Canon
Japanese Canon unveiled two new inkjet printers
supporting PictBridge technology, allowing to print images directly from cameras
(photo or camcorder), PIXUS 455i and PIXUS 475PD that will go on sale in early
September. MSRP of the printers is $190 and $250 respectively.

Almost all the characteristics of the printers are the same: printing resolution
– 4800 x 1200 dpi, printing speed is 18 ppm (monochrome) and 12 ppm (color).
Eternal interface of PIXUS 455i and PIXUS 475PD – USB (port B). The only difference
is that 475PD has CF/Smart Media/ Memory Stick cards slot (other cards also
can be used, but via adapter).
Dimensions of the printers: PIXUS 455i – 393 x 258 x 202 mm, weight is about
2.7 kg, PIXUS 475PD – 393 x 258 x 218 mm, weight is about 4 kg. Power consumption
in standby mode is 2 and 3 watts respectively, while printing – 16 W. Maximal
noise level of both models is 45 dB.
