Samsung unveils new handsets with VGA cameras
Korean Samsung announced three new mobile
handsets, two of which (SGH-E700 and SGH-X600) feature built-in cameras.
SGH-X600 has a 640x480 on-top camera with 180° forward and backward tilt. Sized 102 x 43 x 20 mm, this GPRS device weighs just 80 g. The model offers 1.6" LCD, 16-bit color screen/viewfinder; supports J2ME. Standby and talk times are up to 200 and 3.5 hours, respectively.
SGH-E700 is clam-shell handset with a small external OLED colour screen
and a larger 1.8" TFT LCD. According to Samsung, camera´s maximum resolution is 640 x 480 pixels; the model also supports bursts up to 15 frames. Having been shot, images can be edited with phone´s built-in tools or sent as MMS.
The third model SGH-X100 is a cheaper Java model with a 1.6" screen and polyphonic ringtones. This device weights about 83 g, sized 110x45x20 mm.
Besides, all models have an IrDA feature.
