This is a very simple cooler. It has a round aluminium heatsink with radial fins and a large, slow, quiet fan. Memory chips are not cooled.

Palit GeForce GTX 560 Ti Sonic 1024MB GDDR5

This cooler is different. It has two heatsinks: one touches the core, the other gets heat to dissipate via heatpipes. It also has two fans, the one above the GPU rotates faster, because this part of the card is hotter. Memory chips are not cooled.

Temperature monitoring results

We measured temperatures using the MSI Afterburner utility.
