Cooling

The cooler is essentially identical to that of GTX 260/280. Dimensions of the heatsink and the card itself are nearly the same. It's a turbine that drives air through the heatsink inside a long plastic case and out of the enclosure. The card occupies 2 slots.

We monitored temperatures using RivaTuner and here are the results:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 1024MB overclocked

Despite the thinner process technology, the card grows hot, though not as hot as GTX 280. Still, the cooler remains quiet.
