Palit GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Light Turbo 1024MB GDDR5
The GPU is cooled by a massive heatsink with a separate base connected to the fin array by heatpipes. Under the heatsink, there are 2 fans, each illuminated red. Fan speeds are below 45% of the max, so there's little, if any, noise. Memory chips are not cooled.
KFA2 GeForce GTX 560 Ti LTD OC 1024MB V2.0
This cooler has a similar heatsink, although the base is closer to the fins. There are also heatpipes, too. The single fan doesn't cool memory chips. Dealing with very high clock rates, it produces some minor noise.
Temperature monitoring results
We measured temperatures using the MSI Afterburner utility.
