Coolers

Manli GTX560 1GB DDR5

The cooler has an aluminium heatsink and a fan. The cover is just a decoration. Power circuitry is cooled down by smaller heatsinks, memory chips are not cooled. Fan speed is not very high, but there is some noise nevertheless.

Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum

This cooler has a large heatsink with a copper base, heatpipes and a fan. Memory chips are not cooled. Fan speed is low and the device is nearly silent.

Temperature monitoring results

We measured temperatures using the MSI Afterburner utility.

Manli GTX560 1GB DDR5

Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum

After six hours of operation under load Palit's card was cooler than Manli's, even despite being factory-overclocked. That custom cooler on Palit's card is very efficient.

Package contents

A basic package should include a user manual, a software CD, and adapters where applicable. Now let's see what other accessories are bundled with each card.

Manli GTX560 1GB DDR5

A basic package plus power splitters.

Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum

A similar package with one power splitter.

Boxes

Manli GTX560 1GB DDR5

A cardboard box in a jacket with all necessary product details on it. The card is in a thick, soft plastic bag and is fixed securely.

Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum

A similar box, all labels being large and clear. The card is securely fixed as well.
