Cooling
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 768MB |
At first sight, this is a regular reference cooler. But if you take a closer look, you'll see that it's a fan, not a turbine. So the plastic cover is just a decoration.
Under the cover is a centralized cooler with an oval heatpiped heatsink. It only cools down the core, memory chips are left unattended. The fan speed is low, so the cooler is generally quiet. |

Traditionally, we monitored temperatures using EVGA Precision (based on RivaTuner).

As you can see, the temperature peaked at just 71°C (after 5 hours of continuous 3D operation). So the core is not as hot as that of GF100, and the cooler is also pretty efficient.
Bundles
A basic bundle for such a graphics card should include the following items: a user manual and a software CD. And maybe HDMI-to-HDMI-mini and DVI-to-D-Sub adapters as well. Now let's see what other accessories are bundled with each card.

This is a complete basic bundle with all the adapters. Plus a bonus temporary tattoo. |

This is a similar complete basic bundle. The HDMI-to-HDMI-mini adapter is a cable, so you can connect the graphics card to a HDMI receiver at once. |
