Modern games with rare exception do not consume even 1 GB, but users are always happy to have bigger numbers on the boxes. The more memory a card has, the more attractive it is for a user. It's useless to ask readers not to be after these numbers -- huge memory volume of a graphics card has a magical effect on users' minds.
