Heatsink design

Thermaltake Jing features a copper baseplate sized 36 x 75 x 10 mm, 5 copper heatpipes 6 mm in diameter, and an aluminium heatsink with 41 fins (the total heat-transfer area is about 6000 cm².

Heatsink advantages:

• Large heat-transfer area;
• Good fin distance of 2.5 mm for better airflow;
• A good number of heatpipes;
• Good soldered heatpipe-fin joints;
• Good nickel plating.

The only minor downside is that heatpipes are located too close to each other which doesn't help reduce cross-heating.
