Fan design
The cooler has two NF-P14 fans with the standard speed of 1200 rpm.
NF-P14 advantages:
- Improved aerodynamics (denser 'operational area' with great airflow, Vortex Control Notches on fan blades);
- Excellent mechanics (SSO-Bearing — an advanced hydrodynamic bearing with a magnetic axis stabillizer);
- Decent electronics (SC-Drive for smoother transition between stator coils);
- Round frame for a better performance/noise ratio at 140x140x25 mm.
Installation is hardly easy, even though some parts are pre-mounted on the heatsink. But SecuFirm2 mounting provides two advantages which make it worthwhile: very tight contact between baseplate and processor and rock-solid socket mount (which is important for a 1-kg cooler).
Miscellaneous advantages include:
- Highly efficient NT-H1 thermal compound;
- Ultra-Low-Noise Adaptors;
- Pre-installed fan gaskets;
- Long (40-cm) fan cables;
- Silicone vibration compensators and screws that allow you to mount one of the fans wherever you like, if NH-C14 with a single fan is enough for your needs.
