This group of application is traditionally sensitive to everything related to RAM. Today these programs demonstrated high sensitivity to both frequency and the number of channels of the Core i7 memory controller. But then again this is traditional.
Compiling
Another traditionally sensitive test and yet another predictable result. The system equipped with dual-channel DDR3-1333 turned out to be even worse than the one with triple-channel DDR3-800. Simple math (2 x 1333 > 3 x 800) doesn't work here.
Audio encoding
This test is traditionally indifferent. Note that only the 2-channel and 6GB machine lost. Given this is not a measurement error, we see here what we described above: the test seemingly used more than 4GB of RAM and memory access switched to single-channel. This is reasonable, considering that our benchmark creates 8 audio encoding threads on Core i7 simultaneously.

The effect of memory frequency and the number of channels is rather small.
Java
In this case, performance is affected by memory frequency.
