Many analysts predicted that the year of 2002 would be sluggish for the IT industry. Maybe, the last year was quite tough for many vendors in the financial aspect, but the computer market was replenished from time to time with new goods from different companies. The most aggressive ones gained respect and popularity with users. Some vendors impressed us with their volumes of products, the others launched new ultra-modern devices. However that may be, but not all manufacturers deserve the title of "Brand 2002". Like in the previous years, it was you, our dear readers, who helped us choose those worthy of this high title. And now we can demonstrate those companies which gained the most respect from our readers last year.

Undoubtedly, TEAC has the strongest position on the market of optical storage devices. The line of reliable and hgih-quality TEAC recorders is very popular with users. 5916 (52.2%) voters prove it. Note that popularity of TEAC is growing up. Last year the company got votes of only 43.3% of our readers.
