Patriot Announces The Aero Mobile Wireless HDD

Patriot introduces the Aero Mobile Hard Drive, a wireless 802.11n Wi-Fi storage solution with built-in li-ion battery for up to 6 hours of continuous streaming.

Using the free Patriot Connect App, available on Google Play, Apple App Store, and the Amazon App Store, the Aero can wirelessly connect and stream high definition content simultaneously to 5 gadgets. The Patriot Connect Application also supports 3rd party media player apps to get rid of proprietary file formats, giving total flexibility to how content is consumed. The Aero also features an internet pass through access point, allowing multiple devices to share one IP connection while accessing data.

The specifications include:

  • 500GB and 1TB capacities
  • Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • WEP/WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security
  • Stream up to 5 connected devices simultaneously
  • Internet pass-through
  • USB 3.0 port (USB 2.0 backwards compatible)
  • Rechargeable li-ion battery
  • Push button battery level indicator
  • 2-year limited warranty

The Aero Mobile Wireless HDD will be available in early April in 500GB and 1TB capacities for $159.99 and $199.99, respectively.

NVIDIA Introduces Quadro K4000, K2000, K600 Cards For Multiple Budgets

In spite of its focus on the new Tegra recently, the company hasn’t forgotten of its everyday PC user and released three new Quadro GPU for different budgets.

The $2,249 K500 might be a tad out of your gaming budget, so the company roleed out three lower budget cards: the K4000, K2000 and K600.

The Quadro K4000 retails for $1,269 and features 768 CUDA cores, 3GB of RAM and a memory bandwidth of 134GB per second. The K2000 retails for $599 and halves the amount of CUDA cores and memory bandwidth the K4000 has, although it still has a nice chunk of RAM in it at 2GB. The K600 is the least expensive card out of the bunch as it retails for $199 and has 192 CUDA cores, 1GB of RAM and a memory bandwidth of 29GB per second.

All of the cards NVIDIA is announcing today should start rolling out to retailers very soon.

T-Mobile Prism 2 by Huawei Leaked

Huawei and T-Mobile have developed a low-range successor to the Prism smartphone, named Prism II and bearing the model number U8686.

The Huawei Prism II will have a touchscreen with 320×480 resolution (the size is still unknown, though), a 1 GHz processor (almost certainly single-core), and it will run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Anyway, it will be curious to see the new version of Android running such a modest hardware set.
