First Tegra 4 Phones Will Be Launched by ZTE Lian Li Announces the PC-9N Mid Tower Chassis First Tegra 4 Phones Will Be Launched by ZTE ZTE has announced that it is partnering with NVIDIA to deliver the first phones powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 4 mobile processors and expects to launch the first Tegra 4 phones in China in the first half of 2013. ![]() The NVIDIA Tegra 4 promises to provide the ZTE devices with faster web browsing, using the i500 LTE chipset, improved app load times, more realistic gaming experiences and better battery life, thanks to the processor’s 72 custom NVIDIA GeForce cores and quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU. Source: ZTE Lian Li Announces the PC-9N Mid Tower Chassis Today Lian-Li announces a new brushed aluminum mid tower chassis, the PC-9N. The novelty supports ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, as the previous models. ![]() Dimensions of Lian Li PC-9N are 462x210x490 mm and its weight is 5.9kg. The PC-9N accommodates CPU coolers up to 170mm height and also has space for very long VGA card up to 4300mm and power supplies up to 300mm. At the top of the chassis are three 5.25-inch drive bays with external access. Besides, PC-9N holds up to three 3.5-inch HDDs and one 2.5-inch SSD. ![]() The chassis of PC-9N by default is equipped with 2 fans: the first one (140mm) pulls cool air into the chassis and the second (120mm) pulls hot air out. ![]() The I/O panel on the top of the case has two USB 3.0 and HD audio connections. A door covers the I/O panel to protect it from dust. ![]() The PC-9N is available in two color options: silver (PC-9NA) and black (PC-9NB). Estimated cost of Lian-Li PC-9N is about $110. Source: TechPowerUp At the press-event in New York Sony unveiled its next-generation PlayStation 4 game console, formerly known as Orbis. ![]() PlayStation 4 uses an AMD’s APU. The APU is s based on the new energy-efficient "Jaguar" micro-architecture. The next-gen game console will support an x86-64 AMD Jaguar 8-core processor, a Radeon GPU with 18 compute units that is reportedly capable of dishing out 1.84 Teraflops, and an integrated memory controller that supports GDDR5 memory. Sony crammed a staggering 8 GB of GDDR5 memory, which the APU uses as both system and graphics memory.
The PlayStation 4 controller design doesn't differ much from the iconic design passed on by the past three generations. In addition to its usual buttons and features, there are two new inputs that add extra dimensions to game control: capacitive touchpad, giving 2D pointing capabilities, 3D gyro and accelerometer. ![]() The third ingredient to the experience building is an improved PlayStation Network, it will give you access across all media apart from the console itself (PC web, mobiles, tablets, etc.).
