Synology Launches DiskStation DS213

Synology today launched the DiskStation DS213, a feature-rich 2-bay NAS server for office and workgroup environments.

Powered by a 2.0 GHz processor and 512 MB memory, the DS213 delivers an average read and write speed of 108.41 MB/sec and 65.36 MB/sec, respectively, under RAID 1 configuration in a Windows environment. The DS213 operates a 92 mm fan with smart airflow design to keep the system running cool 24/7; noise level is 19.9 dB(A) thanks to noise dampening design.

The DS213 is equipped with one SD card slot and two USB 3.0 ports. Front mount hot-swappable hard drives are available on Synology DS213 to ensure continuous data availability and easy hard drive replacement.

The DS213 runs DiskStation Manager 4.0 (DSM 4.0), the operating system of every Synology NAS Server.

Synology DiskStation DS213 is now shipping globally.
