Logitech Unveils Washable Keyboard K310
Today, Logitech unveiled the latest in its line of PC keyboards, the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310. As stated in the name, the keyboard can be hand-washed and submerged (with the exception of the USB cable) in up to 11 inches of water.
Convenient drainage holes at the back of the keyboard allow for easy drying while key characters are laser printed and UV coated to help ensure the letters don't fade in the wash. Plus, the keys can last up to five million keystrokes, according to the press release.
The novelty comes complete with F-keys and a number pad, and is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It has twelve hotkeys: for launching Web browser and email client, controlling audio, etc.
The Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 is expected to be available in the U.S. beginning in August and Europe beginning in October 2012, for a suggested retail price of $39.99.

LG Launches 5-inch Optimus Vu: Phablet Worldwide
After the debut in Korea and Japan, the Optimus Vu:, LG's largest smartphone so far, will go on sale in select markets in Europe, Asia, Middle East/Africa, and Latin America starting in September. With a 5-inch 4:3 IPS display, the phablet blurs the line between traditional tablets and smartphones and is, as the company claims, "both pocketable and spacious."
For the global roll-out, the Optimus Vu: will be equipped with NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor, the fast 4-PLUS-1 Quad-Core with the fifth battery-saver core, that offers a good combination of performance and power requirements. The first four cores are used for high performance tasks such as games and multitasking. In turn, voice calls, email, music, and video playback, are handled by the fifth core alone.
