Steve Jobs Dies At the Age Of 56
On October 5, 2011, Steve Jobs, the legendary innovator, the co-founder of Apple Inc., died at the age of 56.
Despite suffering from pancreatic cancer, Steve Jobs remained the CEO of Apple to the last and retired only in August 2011.
Steve Jobs co-founded Apple in 1976. In eight years, the company made a breakthrough and offered users an easy-to-use Macintosh computer. After spending twelve years outside Apple, Jobs returned to give the world more truly cult devices: iPhone, iPod and iPad. Just the day before yesterday Apple announced the newest iPhone 4S.
Oh man, this is so sad... It feels like an entire epoch, a whole era has ended.
Rest in peace, Steve. You were one of the first. One of the pioneers. We shall miss you so much.
