GELID Launches Slim Silence i-Plus CPU Cooler

GELID Solutions added a new 28-mm-high 1U slim CPU Cooler to its Silent lineup. The Slim Silence i-Plus is designed for Intel sockets 775/1156 and 1155 and supports processors with the TDP of up to 82W (e.g. the entire Intel Core i3 lineup and more than a half of the Core i5 one).

The cooler should can be installed on to Mini ITX, Micro ATX, ATX boards and in to HTPC, Panel PC, Car PC and 1U server enclosures. It's said to feature a heatpipe, a copper plate and a silent ball-bearing fan with PWM control that adjusts rotation speed automatically.

The Slim Silence i-Plus is RoHS and WEEE-compliant and comes with a 5-year warranty. It's available now with the MSRP of $26/20.

USB-IF Certifies First 4-Port USB 3.0 Controller

USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) certified the world-first quad-port SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) host controller TUSB7340 as well as a dual-port USB 3.0 host controller TUSB7320. Both have been developed by Texas Instruments.

The new host controllers come in a WQFN package and are sampling now. They will be in volume production in May 2011, with the suggested resale pricing of $4.50 for the four-port TUSB7340 and $3.50 for the two-port TUSB7320, in quantities of 1,000.

KWorld Launches Home Entertainment Media Player

KWorld Computer today announced its latest media player M210 that can stream Web content, movies, videos, music, photos from any storage device and supports YouTube, Picasa, Weather and BT. It also features an internal 2.5-inch/3.5-inch hot-swap SATA HDD rack.

M210 supports the following formats: BD-ISO, M2TS, AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4, MOV, MKV, TS/TP all that with resolutions up to 1080p. Available interfaces include HDMI, YPbPr and composite, as well as USB 2.0 and the aforementioned SATA/eSATA.
