Radeon HD 4550 based cards feature 80 streaming processors (compare to 800 in Radeon HD 4800), 600 MHz core clock, 256/512 MB of GDDR3 at 1600 MHz. Throughput of 64-bit memory is 12.8 GB/s. Low TDP of 20W enables passive cooling. ![]() According to AMD, this novelty is capable of providing 30 fps in Call of Duty 4 (at 1280x1024) at Devil May Cry 4 (at 1024x768). HD 4350 features 256MB of DDR2 memory at 1 GHz, low-profile design and active cooling. ![]() Expected to be available in October, Radeon HD 4350 and HD 4550 cost 39 and 59 USD, respectively, and compete with GeForce 9400 GT that is a bit more expensive (about 60 USD). Source: AMD Radeon HD 4830 Outperforms GeForce 9800 GT, Costs Less Than $150 After Radeon HD 4830 has turned out to be faster than expected due to an increased number of shader processors (640 instead of 480), it has become even more attractive. Essentially, users get a product very close to Radeon HD 4850 for less than 150 USD. Considering that the latter is called to compete with GeForce 9800 GTX+, it's logical to set Radeon HD 4830 off against GeForce 9800 GT. And AMD has done that on the chart below. ![]() Even without usual truth-coloring tricks the situation is rather beneficial for Radeon HD 4830. In Devil May Cry 4 its advantage reaches 60%, in other games this value is lower, down to the minimum of 15%, but that's still enough to eclipse GeForce 9800 GT for the same price.
