As you know, 'RV730' and 'RV710' are codenames of low- and mid-end Radeon HD 4000 products. The source acquired information on memory configurations of cards based on these GPUs. The new data partially confirms and specifies the previous information.

The RV710-based Radeon HD 4450 and 4470 cards will be available with GDDR3 memory operating at 800 MHz. The first will feature 512 MB by Hynix, the second - 1 GB by Samsung. GPU clock rates of HD 4450 and HD 4470 will differ as well. No 256 MB cards based on RV710 GPU will be released, the source claims.

The RV730 GPU will be featured in more graphics cards, with three different memory clock rates and two memory volumes:

• 700 MHz, 512 MB,
• 900 MHz, 512 MB by Hynix,
• 900 MHz, 1 GB MB by Samsung,
• 1,000 MHz, 512 MB by Hynix.

Supposedly, Radeon HD 4650 will have 700 MHz memory, while the remaining three will be modifications of Radeon HD 4670.

Some more novelties with memory operating at 990 MHz and 1,000 MHz will be released with the RV770 GPU. As you remember, a similar product has already been released by Diamond.

Transcend Releases Its First DDR3 Memory For Enthusiasts

For Transcend DDR3 memory is still a novelty, since the company hasn't rushed with such product releases and has introduced its first DDR3 modules just recently.

Now the company releases its aXeRam DDR3-1800+ Extreme Performance modules, which are the first DDR3 solutions in its enthusiast series.

Initially, 2GB kits will be available. Modules feature 8-layer PCBs, FBGA chips and support Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP).

Transcend aXeRam DDR3-1800+ Extreme Performance has typical voltage of 1.8V, 8-8-8-24 timings, and is backed by the lifetime warranty.

ASUS Confirms Eee PC 904 HD, The Cheapest Among New Eee PCs

According to the source, an ASUS representative confirmed company's intentions to release another Eee PC - Eee PC 904 HD - in the nearest weeks that might become the most affordable addition to the series.

Eee PC 904 HD has the same enclosure as the Eee PC 1001 and 8.9-inch display. It differs by a "full-sized" keyboard and an HDD (that's what the 'HD' suffix stands for).

The price hasn't been set yet, but it's known to be about 250 GBP.

The company representative underlined that Eee PC 904 HD is not a lighter version of Eee PC 901 or 1000, but is a different solution for a different consumer group.

Answering the question about the model 905, the ASUS representative stated that there is no information about such a device.
