BenQ Launches Its Fastest 19-Inch LCD Monitor

BenQ today launches its fastest 19-inch LCD monitor, the BenQ FP93G X+, targeting gamers. The FP93G X+ features an ultra-fast 2ms gray-to-gray response time, a super-slim 13mm bezel and a high contrast ratio of 800:1.

The BenQ FP93G X+ employs original Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) technology that accelerates the twisting speed of liquid crystal by increasing the voltage, making it possible to shorten the gray-to-gray response time to a fast 2ms. With this breakthrough, the BenQ FP93G X+’s performance is claimed to be similar to that of the CRT monitor, enabling clearer, sharper images with no lagging and image blurs when playing PC games or watching videos.

The BenQ FP93G X+ LCD monitor also comes equipped with both traditional D-Sub and next generation DVI input support with a high brightness of 300 cd/m².

The BenQ FP93G X+ will be available on the market starting December 2006.

Panasonic Develops Prototypes Of WLAN-Equipped Mobile Phones

Panasonic Mobile Communications announced that it has developed two prototypes of mobile phones equipped with wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b/g) modules. Using wireless LAN module, the handset could be utilized as high-quality IP TV phone or as player, server, and controller to process digital contents wirelessly with DLNA compliant products at home. These two prototypes will be exhibited at its booth at the ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006 to be held in Hong Kong, China from December 4 to 8.

The first prototype handset could be used as in-house IP phone utilizing an internal wireless LAN network which enables the user to enjoy IP TV phone function with high-quality voice and motion picture at up to 30 fps.

Using the prototype handset with DLNA function as a player, the user could enjoy streaming of high-quality movie contents from DLNA compliant server. If the handset is used as a server, the user can see still pictures taken by the mobile phone at DLNA compliant products such as TV or PC. Moreover, the user could operate DLNA-compliant products to watch digital contents using the handset as a controller.
