NEC Develops Four New System-on-Glass LCD Modules OCZ Announces PC2-6400 Gold Rev.2 GX NEC Develops Four New System-on-Glass LCD Modules NEC LCD Technologies, Ltd. today announced the successful development of four new system-on-glass (SOG) liquid crystal display modules, suitable for personal digital assistants and portable GPS terminals. Successful mass production trials for low temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) thin-film-transistor color liquid crystal display modules began at NEC Akita, Ltd. on October 1. The new modules consist of a 3.5-inch (8.9-centimeters-diagonal) transmissive type LCD, a 3.5-inch transflective type LCD, a 2.7-inch (6.8-centimeters-diagonal) transmissive type LCD and a 2.7-inch transflective type LCD. All of the new products possess the same resolution as VGA TFT LCD modules. Mass production for the 3.5-inch transflective LCDs and the 2.7-inch transmissive LCDs are aimed at February, 2007. ![]() The main characteristics of the new models are as follows:

At KES 2006 in Korea Samsung introduced a very original mouse just 8mm thin. ![]() Other two dimensions are also small: 40x95 mm. Obviously it's meant to be used with UMPCs and notebooks. OCZ Announces PC2-6400 Gold Rev.2 GX OCZ Technology Group today announced the addition of PC2-6400 Gold Rev.2 GX DDR2 to the gaming-oriented Gold XTC series. OCZ Technology now offers a complete line of gamer-grade XTC DDR2 solutions ranging from DDR2-533 to DDR2-1100. The PC2-6400 Gold Rev.2 GX XTC series operate at 4-5-5 timings. The PC2-6400 Gold Rev. 2 XTC memory will be available in 1024MB modules and 1GB and 2GB dual channel kits.
