NVIDIA Delivers PureVideo H.264 Decoder Infineon Announces INCA-IP2 IP-Phone Solution NVIDIA Delivers PureVideo H.264 Decoder NVIDIA announced the availability of the new NVIDIA PureVideo H.264 decoder. H.264, which is also known as the Advanced Video Codec (AVC) specification or MPEG-4 Part 10, is one of the digital video codecs specified for the Blu-ray (BD) and High Definition DVD (HD DVD) formats. H.264 has been adopted by both the DVD Forum for HD DVDs and the Blu-ray Disc Association for Blu-ray Discs, and VC-1 has also been adopted by the DVD Forum for HD DVDs. NVIDIA PureVideo technology provides hardware acceleration for decoding H.264, VC-1, WMV and MPEG-2 movies and performs post processing techniques on the decoded high definition content, including spatial-temporal de-interlacing and inverse telecine. ![]() The decoder is available for the following NVIDIA products:

Infineon Announces INCA-IP2 IP-Phone Solution Infineon Technologies announced INCA-IP2, a single-chip Gigabit Ethernet IP-phone solution that uses an innovative architecture based on two MIPS32 24KEc processors each running at 400MHz. Its approach uses one CPU as a network processor while the second core employs a real-time operating system paired with dedicated VoIP Hardware. This turns INCA-IP2 into a voice engine capable of supporting an almost unlimited range of advanced voice applications while providing good voice quality. ![]() INCA-IP2 supports such industry voice codecs as G.711, G.723, G.729a/b, G.722 and G.722.1 Wideband as well as more advanced codecs such as ILBC, MP3, MiDi synthesizer, polyphonic ringing, video decoding and stereo sound. Its integrated 3-port GbE switch contains security features such as a classification engine and bandwidth management. The INCA-IP2 supports NAND and NOR Flash, as well as DDR and SDR SDRAM memories. Interfaces include a USB host, an 8/16 bit parallel interface, a PCM interface, two Serial and two UART ports. And the Data Encryption Unit includes AES, DES and 3DES encryption standards as well as the Hashing algorithms SHA1 and MD5. There is also a True Random Number Generator. Combined with a Linux board support package and a full set of device drivers, the INCA-IP2 comes with a SIP Phone Hardware and Software reference design including Voice codec Firmware, SIP signalling stacks and application layer software. The INCA-IP2 (PSB21653) comes in a P-LBGA-416 package. Engineering samples are available now at sample quantity pricing of $20. Source: Infineon Technologies
