ECS announces RS400-A on ATI RS400
ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) announced the new RS400-A motherboard on ATI RS400 chipset and supporting Pentium 4 LGA 775 and PCI-Express bus.
ECS RS400-A supports 800/533 MHz FSB, dual-channel DDR2-667/533/400 and DDR-400/333 memory. The graphic subsystem bases on Radeon X300 GPU with hardware DirectX 9 support and ATI AGP Express bridge.
The Southbridge offers 4 x SATA and Ultra DMA 133 (RAID0, 1, 0+1), 8 x USB 2.0, Fast Ethernet Realtek 10/100 Mbps.
The novelty is to be sampling in April.
NVIDIA nForce 4 SLI Intel Edition: the long-anticipated announcement
NVIDIA has finally announced its nForce 4 SLI solution for Intel CPUs. Much has been said already about the novelty, and some samples have even been showcased at CeBIT 2005.
Note that the chipset is positioned for the high-end machines, so Pentium 4 EE owners are to like its 1066MHz FSB support. Imagine how much an NF4 SLI-based system with top Pentium 4 EE and graphics will cost.
