PhaseOne db20p digital back + Rolleiflex 6008 AF: new power for Rollei cameras
Rollei that started to sell digital backs for its 6000-series cameras over 10 years ago, announced the new 16-megapixel PhaseOne db20p digital back that will be bundled with Rolleiflex 6008 AF cameras. According to the press release, 6008 AF + db20p couple is well suitable for a wide range of applications, from studio to landscape shooting.

Rolleiflex 6008 AF, in its turn, is positioned as a camera for demanding professionals. It supports three exposure metering modes, including center-weighted average, evaluative and spot with manual exposure adjustments and also three AE modes: aperture-priority, shutter-priority and programmed. It also enables to adjust flash brightness. Rolleiflex 6008 AF is said to be one of the fastest 6x6 AF cameras. It offers 1/1000s and longer exposures and can shoot up to 200 photos with a single battery charge.
Sized 36.9x36.9 mm, PhaseOne db20p digital back supports resolutions up to 4080x4080. Each pixel is sized 9x9 µm; each color takes 16 bits, i.e. each pixel occupies 48 bits in RGB and 64 bits in CMYK formats.
db20p bases on 12 f-stop CCD sensor with ISO 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 sensivity. The back powers from a standalone battery Li-Ion battery enough for about 250 shots. On the back´s back, so to say, there´s 2.2" 116K-pixel 262,144-color LCD. 48-128 MB resulting files are stored on CompactFlash in IIQ RAW, TIFF-RGB, TIFF-CMYK or JPEG formats. The back has IEEE1394 (FireWire) interface.

Gigabyte that had recently released an interesting kit of a dual-GPU graphics card and nForce4 SLI based motherboard went even further and released another motherboard based on the popular i915P, but with two PCI-Express x16 slots onboard.
We have just obtained such a novelty for our lab tests:
Will SLI work on this board or it´s just for quad-monitor output?
Yes, it will work! Though only in x16+x2 mode with some performance losses. But for more details on this matter read our review that is being prepated now! Stay tuned!
