Albatron and Leadtek introduce GeForce FX 5700 Ultra-based graphics cards
Taiwanese Albatron and Leadtek introduced its new graphics cards on GeForce FX 5700 Ultra. Albatron solution is to go on sale in April for about $196. It has 128MB GDDR3 (128-bit bus), 950MHz memory clock, 475MHz GPU clock. The card differs from the similar products by Wise Fan II cooling with 3 fans, one of which is a backup. According to the maker, cooling system noise doesn´t exceed 25dBA.
The card features D-Sub, DVI, Video-out interfaces and supports resolutions up to 2048x1536 via D-Sub and up to 1600x1200 via DVI.
Leadtek introduced two cards, WinFast A360Ultra TDH and WinFast A360LE TD. The former bases on GeForce FX 5700 Ultra and has 128MB GDDR3. It will go on sale late in March for about $243. Similar to Albatron´s card, this has standard 475/950MHz clock rates. Still, as there´s no cooling systems standard, WinFast A360 Ultra TDH just has a 50mm cooler.
WinFast A360LE TD is a light version introduced with 128MB and 256MB DDR SDRAM. It bases on GeForce FX 5700LE GPU and has 400/250MHz clock rates. All of these feature D-Sub, DVI-I and TV-out interfaces and support resolutions up to 2048x1536, 1600x1200, and 1024x768, respectively.

BenQ FP767-12 and FP783 monitors: minimal response time and digital cameras
BenQ announced two new 17" monitors, FP767-12 and FP783. The former provides 12ms response time, while the second features a webcam. Both novelties will go on sale late in March and April for $540 and $635, respectively.
Both monitors have 0.264mm pixel pitch; support 16,190,000 colors; feature 300 nit brightness, 500:1 contrast; 140° vertical and horizontal viewing angles.
FP767-12 features 15-pin D-Sub, has 2x1W speakers. Sized 377x190x405mm, it weighs about 4.5kg. FP783 features 15-pin D-Sub and DVI-I and 2x2W speakers. Its camera has 640x480 resolution (300,000 pixels). Sized 387x250x398mm, it weighs about 5.2kg.

NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display unveils 20" MultiSync LCD2060NX LCD monitor
NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display, the well-known LCD monitor vendors, extended its NEC MultiSync LCD 60 series with the new 20" NEC MultiSync LCD2060NX model priced $1200.
According to IDC, such competitive price and universality of LCD monitors will result in 67.9 million LCD units sold this year vs. only 53.4 million CRT sales.
NEC MultiSync LCD2060NX specs are:
- 250nit brightness
- 0.255mm pixel size
- 600:1 contrast
- 1600x1200 resolution
The novelty differs from similar models by the No Touch Auto Adjust feature that automatically sets optimal settings at the first turn-on. Traditionally, this model has short response time (Rapid Response in terms of the company) of 25ms at fullscreen video playback. The XtraView technology provides 170° vertical and horizontal viewing angles.
The monitor is bundled with NaViSet software that enables to adjust parameters with a mouse or kayboard via the On Screen Manager. Interfaces include DVI-D and 15-pin D-Sub.
