Japanese PC Watch assures that Gainward´s RADEON 9700 PRO cards appeared for sale this weekend in Tokyo. Gainward and ATI? What a surprise.

Gainward RADEON 9700 PRO cards are shipped in OEM package and doesn´t differ from any other Radeon 9700 Pro products: 128MB DDR, analog, digital DVI and TV out, DVI-VGA adapter and a driver CD. Card costs 45799 yens (about $380).

AMD presents complete x86-64 technical docs

AMD posted technical docs, concerning Hammer architecture — AMD x86-64 Architecture Tech Docs — on its website.

They will surely be useful for programmers and those willing to understand features of this architecture. Docs are in the .pdf format.

Details about Hercules DigiFire 7.1

We´ve recently reported about Hercules sound card roadmap. As you know, Gamesurround Fortissimo III 7.1 is to be followed by Gamesurround DigiFire 7.1 and Game Theater XP 7.1.

Today INpact-Hardware.com posted additional information about Hercules DigiFire 7.1 and its first photos.

Hercules DigiFire 7.1 will be based on Cristal CS4624 DSP chip and have features, similar to Fortissimo 7.1. Sales will start in October. The card is fully supports Dolby Digital Ex, has two FireWire ports. Hercules DigiFire 7.1 is expected to cost about 99.99 euro in retail.

2.1-channel VideoLogic ZXR-200 2.1 acoustics from PURE Digital

PURE Digital, Imagination Technologies subsidiary, previously known as VideoLogic, announced the release of a 3-component VideoLogic ZXR-200 2.1 acoustic system.

VideoLogic ZXR-200 2.1 specifications:

  • Total power: 35 W
  • Input sensitivity: 400 mV
  • Amplifier frequency range: 35 Hz — 20 kHz
  • Total weight: 8 kg
  • Subwoofer: wooden case, 5-inch speaker, integrated amplifier, volume, balance, high and low frequency control; dimensions: 165x250x340 mm
  • Satellites: two compact speakers, featuring 3-inch dynamics, dimensions: 85x112x98 mm
  • Price: about 50 pounds
