Cooling

The cooler is essentially the same as the one used in RADEON HD 5870. Just the heatsink is smaller. The turbine drives air through the heatsink inside the long plastic housing and out of the PC enclosure. Due to cooler dimensions, such cards occupy two expansion slots. We examined the cooler on the example of Sapphire RADEON HD 5850 1024MB.

Traditionally, we monitored temperatures using RivaTuner.

The core temperature doesn't exceed 80°C, which is nice for a modern hi-end graphics card. The cooler remains quiet at that.
