Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 Motherboard

Package and proprietary utilities
We haven't seen rich packages for quite some time, and the motherboard with the humble suffix "UD4" is no exception. The package includes 4 standard SATA cables with latches (two with L-shaped connectors), a SATA power adapter, a back-panel faceplate, a flexible SLI bridge, a user's guide, a poster saying that you shouldn't plug LGA1156 processors into LGA1155 sockets, and a quick (very quick actually) PC building guide. Finally, there's a traditional software DVD.
Now let's have a quick look at most important proprietary utilities supplied by Gigabyte (aside from Touch BIOS). First, there is Easy Tune 6 that offers low-level system information, monitoring, overclocking, fan controls. It's a really useful tool although it's a bit overloaded with data. Recommended.
The next is Dynamic Energy Saver 2 that handles power-saving when the motherboard is idle. There's nothing much to set, it just needs to be enabled.
The recently introduced CloudOC is meant for remote control and same overclocking. This is largely just for fun, because there are more evolved tools for both of these purposes. However, the very idea of overclocking neighbor's PC over LAN with a Web browser or even a smartphone... There's noble insanity in that.
Finally, there's the Smart6 suite that allows you to back up and restore system, store passwords locked by a master password backed up in free Flash ROM space, time-limit user sessions and such.
